Artist/photographer Jim Briare was the only person chosen to document the rare desert bloom of an epiphyllum oxypetalum, commonly known as the Queen of the Night. The flower rarely blooms and when it does, it opens for only a fleeting few hours after sunset and dies before dawns light.

A lifelong resident of Las Vegas, Briare is also an award winning short film maker. His flower and nature photography is quicky being sought by collectors.
